Sevn Works Pty Ltd (ABN 84 677 263 035) operates WTFBudget. We are committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who interact with this website in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and your rights in relation to it. It applies to all users of this Site, including those who submit the contact form.

2. What Personal Information We Collect

We currently collect personal information only when you voluntarily submit the contact form:

  • Name — to address you in our reply.
  • Email address — to respond to your enquiry.
  • Message content — the details of your enquiry.

We do not currently use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising. We do not collect browsing behaviour, IP addresses, or device identifiers through our own systems.

If you use the AI chat feature, your chat inputs are transmitted to a third-party AI model provider (MiniMax) for processing. We do not store chat transcripts on our servers. Please do not include sensitive personal information (e.g., your Tax File Number, account details) in chat messages.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We use the personal information we collect solely to:

  • respond to your enquiry or feedback submitted via the contact form;
  • improve our service based on the nature of enquiries received (in de-identified, aggregate form).

We will not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing or share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following parties:

  • Web3Forms — our contact form processor. Your submission (name, email, message) is transmitted to Web3Forms to deliver it to our inbox. Web3Forms is subject to its own privacy policy.
  • MiniMax — the AI model provider powering WTFBudget AI. Chat inputs are processed by MiniMax according to their terms of service.
  • We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law, including to regulators and law enforcement agencies.

We do not sell personal information to any third party.

5. Overseas Disclosure

Web3Forms and MiniMax may process data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipients handle personal information in a manner consistent with the APPs, and by using these services you consent to such overseas processing.

6. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, after which they are deleted. We do not maintain long-term databases of contact form submissions.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. However, no internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of an eligible data breach under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required.

8. Your Rights

Under the APPs you have the right to:

  • request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information;
  • make a complaint about a suspected breach of the APPs.

To exercise these rights, please contact us. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe (generally 30 days).

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

9. Cookies and Analytics

This Site does not currently use cookies for tracking or analytics. If we introduce analytics or cookies in the future, this Policy will be updated and appropriate consent mechanisms implemented.

Third-party services embedded in this Site (e.g., Unsplash image CDN) may set their own cookies subject to their respective privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy by posting a revised version on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Site following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
