WTFBudget is an independent plain-English explainer of the 2026-27 Australian Federal Budget. Built for people who don’t have time to read a thousand pages of Treasury PDFs but still want to understand what the budget actually changes for them.

Who’s behind it

WTFBudget is built and run by Sevn Works Pty Ltd, an Australian company. The site is independent — not affiliated with the Australian Government, the Treasury, the ATO, or any political party.

How we source things

Every article is grounded in official material — Budget Papers 1 through 4, the Women’s Budget Statement, Treasury factsheets, and the relevant agency releases. We link directly to source documents wherever we can so you can check the underlying numbers yourself.
